So, update.

I landed a job here in Phoenix. I'm cooking at Olive Garden now. This means I can (probably) pay rent and get a new computer set up soon. The editing process What a Tryst is finally moving along; I'm shooting to edit half a chapter every two to three days. I'm also going to be giving chapter 1 an overhaul--Adam's way too emo.

Anyway, I hope all of you are doing well and good luck making good art :meow:. Stay well.

Crushed

1 min read
A day after I was reunited with my Chromebook, an unfortunate mishap occurred; one of my roommates stepped on it while he was carrying in a heavy TV. If it's just the screen, it'll only take about $40 to replace. Right now I'm applying to 4-5 jobs each day and I have a few interviews set up, so hopefully I can afford to fix it soon.

Without the Chromebook, it's a bit difficult to edit and write new pieces (Sometimes I write by hand, but most of it's by a laptop). The current pieces I'm editing/working on are Fox and the Girl: Part 3, and I might be putting out another Moon and the Bridge.

I hope all of you are doing well :meow:

Landed Safely

I got to Phoenix late last night. Everything is going well; especially since the pounding headache disappeared.

My laptop is currently MIA. Hopefully it will return to me soon xD. If not my work might come along at a much slower rate. Hope everyone is doing well.

PS: You can take your shoes/boots off during a plane flight, making everything infinitely more comfortable.

After today, I won't be on Deviant Art until I touch down in Phoenix; I should be there on the 16th if the plane isn't delayed.

The idea of moving (for me) is always equal parts exciting and nerve-racking. Usually the feelings don't hit until the day before. And it's not that I'm afraid of flying; I just hate going through security. I don't know why that's what causes the most stress for me xD.

Anyway, Phoenix should be full of opportunities. I'm looking forward to a warmer atmosphere, and living in a city again. So far, the only negative things I've heard of are scorpions and black widows; it's not like I go outside my house much during the night anyway xD.

I'll be putting up more writing as soon as I hit my first internet source in Phoenix--whether that be Starbucks, or if I luck out and internet is installed on our move-in date. Hope everyone stays well in the meantime :meow:

Rain

1 min read
I love its sounds: the soft taps against the window and roof; the way the wind hisses and sways the trees back and forth; and the occasional boom of thunder. It drips down the window, leaving behind mysterious patterns.

The rain feels draining sometimes, though; I find myself just staring out the window, and getting lost in it. It usually makes me sleep in a lot later, too. How do you guys feel about rainy days?
